What is your personal information?
When used in this privacy policy, the term "personal information" has the meaning given to it in the Act. In general terms, it is any information that can be used to personally identify you. This may include your name, address, telephone number, email address and profession or occupation. If the information we collect personally identifies you, or you are reasonably identifiable from it, the information will be considered personal information.
The datasets which are accessible through the Learning Canvas do not incorporate any of the personal information that we collect from you. We do not use your personal information for the purposes of generating insights, statistics or other outputs in the Learning Canvas.
What personal information do we collect and hold?
There are two policies regarding the collection of personal information. From an administrative view, we collect the following information:
- name

This information is entered when you are creating either an administrative or user account and this is its sole purpose of use. From a platform view, information is submitted by administrative and user accounts, so the potential the personal information is shared is at the behest of these authenticated users. It is the strict view of our policy that NO identifiable personal information is entered or saved into the website platform. Steps have been taken to ensure this is enforced, including:
- Strong, clear messaging wherever user-inputted data is required, reminding users that no personal information is to be entered, in any form.
- Data sanitization checks and scheduled scripts to ensure that personal information (like names, phone numbers and addresses) is flagged and removed on a regular basis.
We may also collect some information that is not personal information because it does not identify you or anyone else. For example, the data which is available through the website is not personal information because it does not identify any particular individual. We do not incorporate the personal information which you provide to us into the datasets which are accessible through the website.
